Blitzen Ridge Photos of you on Y Couloir

On August 6, we were on the 4th Ace and I took a couple of photos of you on the Y Couloir.

Can't imagine why anyone would be roped together w/out pro on a snow couloir in CO- doesn't make sense but then again, Aug. isn't a great time to be on this route, so go figure! Simul-climbing in general is not a valid safety technique.

That surprised me when I saw the photos also. I cannot see when I take the pictures (just point and shoot), but saw the rope when I looked at them on-line.

Well, we were on the rock, and I had my focus and attention on what I was doing - not them.

Still think it is a great looking couloir. Something to add to the ticklist since we had to bail from near the summit because of a storm.

Anyone ski it this year?
