Black Velvet road condition?

Anyone know if the heavy rainfall last week/weekend further deteriorated the condition of the dirt road? (I was back there in a truck a couple weeks ago and felt that it was noticeably worse than it had been on my spring trip in May, when getting a rental coupe back there wasn't too dicey.)

Any updates about any additional damage caused by this last rain system?

Surprisingly, I don't think the rain did that much damage; no real washouts or anything to speak of. I drove it yesterday in my truck and it was pretty cruiser. Granted, this was my first time on it so I don't really have a reference point, but there was a small sedan in the parking area as well.

We got our Dodge Avenger back there today with no more difficulty than usual for a passenger car with not-so-great clearance. Looked like a few spots in the road had been graded, but a few other nasty spots required some extra care to avoid.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
