Very easy climbing but interesting rock.
P1 climbs up beside a big spike to reach huge holds on the slab, then climbs the black rock just right of the arete. It's usual to belay under the overhang to avoid rope drag before traversing left and then up easily to finish.
Like Ding, Black Slab lies on the Seaward Cliff. Keep scrambling down and left under the Main Cliff and Raven Wall. Black Slab is obvious from its name - a layer of black rock lies overlying the usual orange granite. Start about 30' above the sea below a big spike.
