Anyone been in to Black Lake recently? Just wondering (hoping?) that more snow cover might have made the tree-crossing easier?

I was wondering the same thing. The photos on Eli's website make it seem like he got back there.

Climbed Black Lake 3/17. Ice is good; flow is wide. Left variation is half snow. Upper tier real nice. All the downed trees before Black Lake not a big issue with current snow depth. Dodging downed trees only added 10 minutes to the walk in. Some postholing in rotten snow, even with snowshoes! If you are the 2-person team that climbed West Gulley 3/17, get in touch as I have a few photos of you climbing. All Mixed Up looked anemic from the lake.
