It is possible that photographing these birds disturbs them and their roproductive habits. (They think you are stealing their souls) Please steer clear of these birds. If you are close enough to photograph them you are too close. There are no studies to support this but it is better to close thousands of acres of climbing areas (Forest Service Fee areas not included) than risk the future of these birds!
