I also remember reading somewhere on modified rurps called stars...anyone knows anything about those ?

yep I think I know about both of those you are talking about, I will get a pic and draw up both for ya.

I have no actual experience with this at all what so ever YET. I'm by no means a pro but I remember reading about and seeing some designs which I have duplicated in my drawings; aswell as added some creative ideas for the really sick minded to test out close to the ground with crash pads preferably. Hopefully someone who really knows what's up can chime in and clear my mess up. Modify and test at your own discression, I take no responsibility for what you do.

On another note, I am not exactly sure what the best exact angles are I am just taking a guess when I drew it all up. Also I have no idea what the best way to achieve the desired shape would be, maybe a band saw or grinder with some cold water treatment (to keep the temps low) to maintain the steels integrity. It would be really slow but I guess you could use a file set.

thanks. some of these look like they would work great...( others, I'm not to sure...)
as far as how to grind these, I intend on doing so on a low rpm grinder ( specialized grinder to sharpen chisels, and naturally, cool off with water..)
