So it's here, time to do a wall. Anyone have plans for a wall?

I'm headed to the Valley on the 1st to try and do Wet Denim Daydream...

Anyone else?

Caz,

Sorry, I'm bored at work and have nothing better to do...

What was left of the rack when I topped out on the last pitch of Snake Dike on Half Dome.

Headed out tomorrow to do South face of Washington Column in a push to get the season started off. Then Moonlight Buttress in a push the following weekend. Hoping to actually get up the Nose this June in a timely fashion with two longtime friends. And finally, I'm hoping to start soloing and going to try the Lost Arrow Spire Tip as my first multipitch solo when I have a free weekend. If that goes well, I'm going to upgrade to West Face of Leaning Tower later in the year.

What's everyone else up to? I'm trying to tick the easy walls this season.

From Mountain Magazine (Bruce Carson's first clean ascent of Sentinal Rock's West Face)

Prow in 2 weeks. Let us know how Wet Denim goes- it looks like a great line from Ahwahnee...
This season? Lurking Fear, the Trip, Zodiac.

Jordan- I don't know if the Spire Tip is the best first solo. I would not recommend it. There is a bit of funky free climbing on both pitches, and rigging the traverse solo would be shitty. I would go out and try the first few pitches of something like the Dihedral Wall or New Dawn, those don't usually have lines on em.

After Wet Denim, I'm thinking about trying to get up El Cap solo sometime this year, maybe Aquarian Wall. Also, I hope I can bag Southern Man on the WC this year too. It's spit me out 3 times now. I would love to do Zodiac with my buddy that has wanted too for a while.

I'll post up a trip report when I'm back from The Tower and let you guys know how Evolv wall boots work out.

Good luck with all your walls this year.

Hi Caz,

I plan to attempt The Little Devil at Castlewood Canyon. I've been training my whole life for this climb.

A lazy afternoon at Big Sandy. Big Sandy is plenty big and multi-terraced; it makes a wonderful place to relax and watch the birds.

too late..

Update on Washington Column South Face from this weekend: Approached wall on friday night to find 7 people on route (3 at dinner, 2 at P1, 2 at base). We decided to go cragging saturday instead of getting log jammed on route. Passed 4 more people starting the column saturday morning. That's right, 11 people climbing the south face on saturday. F' that. But I guess it was somewhat expected.
