Hey climber peeps, as I was riding the train to SLC last month we went right under a 300'-400' cliff that was about a mile east of Rollinsville. You can find it on Google Earth at 39º.54'.42.42" -105°.29'.01.26". You'd have to hike in on the tracks east of Rollinsville or cut through from Hwy 119 at the top of the switchbacks south of R-ville. This is NOT the Pinecliff area.

Anyone climb there?

Haven't climbed there and don't know what it's called, but there's also a road that splits off to the right from South Beaver Creek Road, at it's north end at Hwy 72- I believe it's for railroad use, but there's parking at the intersection of those. If you get a hold of Edward Ash (facebook maybe?) he might know...

More than a mile south of Rollinsville and after the switchbacks, Hwy 119 heads downhill and south-southeast. The first drainage you come to is Lump Gulch. On a number of occasions in 2000-2002, my girlfriend (who lived nearby) and I hiked and mountain-biked down the gulch. Part of the way down the gulch, the mountain-bike trail contoured east, high above South Boulder Cr. Continuing down to the base of the rock in question got steep as we approached S Boulder Cr. I recall that someone had a mining claim in the gulch, and he was preparing to mine there, so this approach may not be feasible now. We scrambled around on said rock, but never brought ropes along. I recall that that said rock didn't look appealing for routes. (No clean lines were visible, and I have long had an eye for obscure possibilities.) Instead, we climbed near Pinecliffe and at other obscure rocks in the area.
