Description 

The deep wadis running in to the mountains north of Ras Al Khaimah, but west and south of the border with Oman (Musandam), contain the UAE's most spectacular mountain scenery and some big cliffs (up to 1000m, though usually broken by ledge systems).

Getting There 

Drive north from RAK and turn right into Wadi Ghalilah past the apocalyptic giant quarries and demonic-looking cement factory. Described in the guidebook.
