Anyone know some areas around Grand Junction that are conducive to top rope soloing? Any favorite spots? I was thinking Quarry Wall but I haven't actually climbed there yet so I wasn't positive.

Also, if anyone wants to climb Wednesday that might remove my need to go top rope soloing ;)

I could climb on Wednesday but haven't been out in awhile and wouldn't be able to lead above 5.9.

Would be up for an easy multipitch or cragging. I only have singles in most sizes, may be looking into getting more gear soon.

Quarry Wall is the place to go for that!!! You can get in 1000ft of tr solo easily

Sounds like a good time. Then again if you want a breathing belayer shoot me a message. ;)

So not knowing what level of difficulty you are looking for I would say that you can access the top of almost any crag in the valley. It just depends how long you want to hike. It can be difficult to find the top out of the climbs. If you want moderates some of the easier areas are the grit wall and four block sport areas. Also the slab area on the monument trail is very easy to access.

I'll second the climbs on the Monument Trail. Easy to get to, the scramble to the piton anchors is a breeze, and that routes are fun!

Thanks for the info guys! Sadly I didn't even get out that day thanks to work.

I have done the climbs out on Monument trail, I didn't even think about those as a top rope solo. Those would definitely be fun. Hopefully I will get out to Quarry wall here soon too.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
