| This summer me and a buddy are planning an epic month long road trip starting in Georgia and hopefully making it out to California and back. I'd like to get tips on best crags to hit during the hot summer months. We'll be leaving second week in July taking I24 to St. Louis, I70 to Denver, I15 Salt Lake, I80 to wherever. Thinking about a southern return. Thoughts, ideas, and suggestions? | FLAG |

| Maple and the Uintas are good summer choices for Utah. Mainly sport climbing, but the Uintas has some trad too I hear. | FLAG |

| In California, you'll want to climb at altitude to escape the July heat. Tuolumne Meadows, the High Sierra (if you're into alpine peaks that are more committing) and certain eastside Sierra locations would be nice (Cardinal Pinnacle and Whitney Portal). Have fun! | FLAG |

| My suggestion: Uintas > Tuolumne > City of Rocks > Devil's Tower And no cross-country road trip is complete without a stop here: www.walldrug.com/ | FLAG |

| If you're out east, you can always go Red River, New River, Seneca, Gunks, Dacks. Depends what you're into mostly. All those areas are climbable in the summer, but it gets nicer further north. | FLAG |
