i love my sterling 9.8 70 meter, its not super light but it is as light at my 10.2 edelwies, handles great and i have a lot more than 40 pitches on it with no troubles. I also feel like a little moer peice of mind is worth hauling an extra 2.5 pounds

For those who do like the Sterling Nano 9.2, I have a 70Meter in my basement that I picked up for $165+shipping before I decided that I only wanted bicolor ropes anyway. Been sitting there a few months, still factory wrapped, still in the bag.
Based on the reviews here people love it or hate it, but I haven't used it and don't have an opinion other than that I keep grabbing my BW 9.4 bicolor instead... so I obviously prefer that.
Anyway, if anyone wants the 70M sterling Nano 9.2 I have and lives around Boulder, $175 sounds fair to me- that's more or less what I paid for it. Retail is over $200, but you can find them cheaper. In fact, I suspect it's the same seller on Ebay unloading another one now if someone else wanted one:

$155 now, but $20 to ship instead of $10. Same price overall.

Another vote for the Mammut Infinity 9.5

Best rope I've ever owned in 10 years of climbing.

Yet another thumbs up for the 9.5 Mammut Infinity. I beat the crap out of that thing for years.

They should link this thread to their website.

Sterling Ion2 or go for a Nano if you want something more svelte.

The Ion2 is far more durable than it's predecessor... I would agree that the Nano is durable for a super-skinny, but it's still a skinny rope.

The Mammut 9.5s always feel fatter than what they are labled...

Mammut 9.5 should be nice. I have used the Galaxy 10mm as my light rope for 20 years now-sweet
