Description

The herd path diverging from the East Path comes directly to this slab. It is about 110' tall at its highest. The path comes up below a left-facing corner that doesn't quite reach the ground, this is Belle Bottom Crack.

Getting There

Take the East (a.k.a. BAW) Path past all the Measles Walls. As the path reaches a viewpoint above the MWs, take a herd path that diverges left, walking another five minutes to reach this slab.

O'Tom's Tick Twister 5.7+ 5a 15 V+ MVS 4b PG13  NY : Adirondacks : ... : Belleview Slab
Climb the corner and flake to its top. Friction up to obscure steps breaking a steep spot (tiny C3s here), then climb slab (1 bolt) to a short, left-facing flake. At its top, climb up to an overhang (possible to escape left here). Pass the overhang on its right, then climb easy crack and slab to a large white pine tree.Hard moves lie near the bolt and getting around the overhang.Very decent route if cleaned up....[more]   Browse More Classics in NY
