Description
Beech Rock is a small crag located in the town of New Hartford just north of the Saville dam which Route 318 crosses. There is short top roping and bouldering on schist rock.
From mday: Great fun. Pumpy slightly over hanging bulgy face good quality rock. Climbs like Muscle beech 10+ (gravity waves ??) crack 11, some other good 10s and 11s. Unfortunately patrolled by resevoir police and they will boot you if you are found here.

Getting There
Beech Rock is a small crag located in the town of New Hartford just north of the Saville dam which Route 318 crosses. Two thousand feet or so to the West of the dam along Route 318 is Beach Rock Rd which heads north along the western shore of the lake. Look for a pull off about 500 ft. north of Route 318 intersection. Crag is just East of the road.
