Looking to get some mileage in this summer. I live in San Francisco and have a fairly flexible schedule. Looking for solid partners who have tons of patience as I'm not the fastest leader on the planet. But I always have a good time out there! Can follow in the 10's and lead up to 5.9. Have a rack and rope and vehicle. I'd also love to learn some aid this summer!

My name is Ali Kent. I am a Colorado native and am currently in grad school at UC Denver where I live. I am a recently returned Peace Corps volunteer, spent three years in Ecuador, and since I have been back, have thought more about my dream to climb in Yosemite. I have been slowly getting back into shape doing some ice and rock climbing over the winter. At the moment, I can sport anything from 5.9-5.10. I have a smaller-sized rack and have led up to 5.9 on trad, but am currently only leading like 5.6-5.8. I have talked to a friend who was a ranger in the valley, and he talks a lot about Citadel peak as a classic climb to do. I am down for shorter multi-pitch as well. The longest route I've done was Spearhead in Rocky Mountain at 9 pitches in high alpine. Please let me know if you would be willing to climb with me, and if I would be a god fit. I would fly into San Fran and be willing to pitch for gas driving out to the Valley. I probably would fly in on Monday June 23rd, or 24th, really, whatever works best. I am free after June 6th until late August. However, I did want to experience San Fran pride on June 28th, 29th, which is why I might come the week before. Thanks for your post, and I look forward to hearing back from you! Best, Ali

Hey Jen, Ali, (and other Bay Area climbers), You guys still interested in meeting new climbing partners for the summer? I lead sport up to 5.11a on a good day and am interested in doing more multi pitch, getting into trad and climbing all the crags in Nor Cal. I am a freelancer so I'm quite flexible with my schedule.

I'm new to climbing and would be able to help where I can. I'm trying to learn the sport as much as possible. If you don't mind me tagging along and maybe do a few climbs I would appreciate it very much. Your safe, I got the belaying down !! If you're coming from the Bay Area I would be glad to do the drive up to the Tahoe area.

Hey Jim, So I'm taking you live in SF. What is your schedule like during week days? Are you ever available to take full or half days off to explore some local crags?

Hey Jim, Mostly I'm looking for someone to climb closer to home. During weekends I like to make trips to the Tahoe area, although I could possibly wing a 2-day trip during the week on a slow week. Would you be available to climb 2 week days in a row if I drove up to Phantom Spires or a similar spot? Adal
