Description

This is a left leaning crack in the middle of the south face of Campfire Crag behind CS 41. Setting pro is a breeze; and the route, all in all, is much fun.

Steeper than it looks: it's tricky at the start. The pro is actually a bit unreliable, as much of the rock is hollow, but this only adds to the excitement.

Have to agree with Mr. Gaines, but there were some great placements.

The first big flake on this route about 8ft off the deck is about to come off.

Overall a steep fun route with spice. I fell on a well placed #2 BD that held, at the second crux section.

But, yes, rock quality will have you looking closely at your gear placements and climbing gingerly in places.

Climbed this thinking it was a 5.8 I was quite impressed. Loose blocks and steeper than it seems terrain prevails on this route. Worth doing before the loose holds fall off.
