Description This flow forms a thicker, wider, more consolidated flow than the Roadside Flow. The flow forms with some scattered near vertical sections separated by ledges. The formation of this flow is also highly variable due to the low altitude, sun exposure, and state of repair of the aqueduct. Last year this flow didn’t form at all. However, in January, 2001 this flow is seeming to persist longer than the roadside flow. Get it while it lasts! Descent: Scramble down the rocks beside the route.
Protection Screws.
Toprope Protection Slings, and rock pro can be used to anchor to a large pine tree, rocks and the aqueduct above. The ice typically does not reach the top of the aqueduct.
