I am backpacking through France, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain. I am trying to rock climb and highline as much as possible.
Should I bring Rope and Draws as I am living out of my backpack. Dealing with the weight may end up a pain....and will I be able to meet other climbing partners easily?
Things I am packing for sure Tent Cookware sleeping bag clothes
I have been able to carry two weeks of food max in a 70L pack, which takes the weight to 75lbs using UL tent, bag, etc. Granted I had some survival gear too since we were pretty far out, man. I did have my climbing shoes for some dirty highball (and maybe some free solo). Rub your hands in the dirt to chalk up.
I would carry a harness and device at most. If you meet a climber, they would need to have their rope and harness to climb anyway. Safe journey!

Rope and draws no, harness, belay device, shoes and anchor kit, yes. Finding partners shouldn't be too hard go on 8a.nu and UKC i'm sure you will find somebody near you.
