Im taking a trip in June through Central America and the west coast of Mexico, anyone have any info on climbing spots that are worth hitting along the way? I'll be starting in Costa Rica and traveling north by bus, mostly staying coastal. The beta on here is a little spotty at best. I'm forced to travel light so I will only really be able to bring a harness and shoes, Im hoping to meet up with other climbers along the way. The primary goal of the trip isn't climbing, but i don't want to miss out on the oppertunity if it is there. Any info or anyone elses experiences are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Guatemala has some good sport climbing, just outside the town of quetzaltenango. The crag is called la muela(cerro quemado), with routes anywhere from 5.5 to 5.13. If you make it to quetzaltenango you have to check out lake atitlan it is really cool. Have fun I am jealous!!

Dude that place looks epic! Ill be sure to make it up there, if not just to gain some altitude and leave the coast for a minute. The lake looks great too. Thanks for the tip
