So are chiseling, retrobolting routes without consent from the FA, and mass-manufacturing holds using glue. Be careful what you hope for! :)

Somehow, no matter how unrelated events are, in your minds, everything comes down to your perverse obsession with Scott. Your inability to handle a single person critiquing your actions, and your desire to shift attention away from your misdeeds is apparent to anyone who doesn't bury their head in the sand. No matter how much you attempt to mischaracterize actions and attempt to vilify others, your actions are 100% independent from the actions of others, and give no justification for your route stealing.

When history of this period of Tucson climbing community is written, and the people you surround yourself with who "support you," or want to give you a pass are unable to deflect criticism, Jim and Geir will be remember for these sorts of actions. Jim will be noted for, as he put so succinctly, "not caring." He'll be remembered for bolting anything within a fifteen minute walk of the road regardless of quality, chopping bolts next to cracks, placing bolts next to cracks, and a vigilante chopping of multi pitch route. If Geir is noted at all, it will be for his inability to maintain an ethical position for more than a few sentences. Beyond that, perhaps he'll be remembered for producing poor quality topos, naming routes he has never climbed, and he and Jim's vigilante chopping.

I won't be remembered for much at all, if anything. The great part is that I am quite content with that. Unlike Jim and Geir, I don't feel a need to vilify others in order to increase my status in their popularity contest. I am happy to support the community and play a sort of watchdog role, calling out unethical behavior regardless of who commits it. As much as Geir and Jim may throw empty insults, and attempt to portray me as a mouthpiece for Scott Ayers (the subject of their disturbing fascination), he has absolutely nothing to do with their route poaching or my willingness to hold them accountable.

Dan, do you think this period of climbing in tuscon will ever be written about? You sound quite out of balance with current realities. Let this thread die.

Seriously Dan, learn to say more with fewer words. Your posts are more annoying than a toothpick fish in heat.

If you look back, Dan has a long history of nursing a hard on for these guys. I'm pretty sure lube and lingerie are involved in the typing of his long-winded, and oh-so passionate rants.

jesus christ monkey balls this thread was closed for an entire week before dan reopened it with his epic tl;dr flamewar-inducing gun salvo?

to everyone: your arguing is only making it worse. let this thread die and move on with your lives. all that's being accomplished are more rifts and cliques developing in the tucson climbing community.

I took a 50 foot whipper ... not. Actually I did it in the gym cleaning too much weight. It happened the Friday after Beanfest. By the way, I really enjoyed Beanfest. Thanks Brigette

An Internet without dicks would be BORING!
Toughen up people, nothing wrong with a heated argument.

Sorry to hear about your injury Mike. Be compliant after the surgery! You'll thank yourself years from now.
