Hi all, coming from central NC, where we just had a record wet day yesterday (5.12" of rain in Chapel Hill!!!).

How's it looking out your way? Was considering taking a trip to climb tomorrow and Wednesday. Getting much rain? Forecast looks terrible, but wondering about local intel. Would be looking to go to Rumbling Bald, LKG, or Cedar. Whatcha say?

Rumbling Bald is horrid in the summer. Really, if the snakes and PI dont get you the chiggers and heat stroke will. Looking Glass is good, if you chase the shade. N. Side is good this time of year. Gets shade at about 1:00. Nose area dries the fastest and see sun at about 1:00 Cedar Rock main wall faces west and gets sun but will be good in the morning.

Unless its pouring rain their is dry rock to climb. I would also consider Catheys Creek Crag for a rain day location.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
