| I live in kingman az, I moved out here from pa. I have been climbing for at least 10 years (gunks,n.j,pa ect) but since my move 3 years ago ( leaving my climbing partner, my brother) I haven't been on a rope! I can lead 5.9 -5.10, follow 5.10+ when i get the feel back. Looking to get back into this sport! Also i am into high pointing .

| Hello JMIN1971,
What is "highpointing"?

| Tom,
Highpointing refers to bagging the highest point in each of the 50 states. Most are non-events (Iowa, Florida etc.) but a relative few are difficult and some are downright grueling, especially Denali.

| Where I come from, highpointing is when a snowmobiler (sled-neck not red-neck) rods their snowmobile as high as possible and often dies in the endeavor. | |

| I think you mean "highmarking" in regards to snowmobiles. And your comment about the frequency is similarly accurate to saying people often die when they rock climb. | |
