Hello,
I'm going to be in Albuquerque this coming monday (march 31st) and want to get out to a crag that afternoon. Where is a good place to go that isn't to long of a drive or to cold? I can only get out after 12ish and want to get some good climbing in. Looking for Trad or sport with some easier stuff around for the girlfriend. Any advice is greatly appreciated

best close spot is "Big Block". Easy to moderate sport climbing, but will be in the shade in the afternoon.

I was thinking that is my best option. Are there more routes there than is listed on this website? Thanks

Lower La Cueva canyon in the Sandias is very close to town and is probably in season by now. Cochiti Mesa gets afternoon sun, but the road is sometimes closed. Gilman Tunnel is also pretty warm and has some nice routes. Cochiti and Gilman are farther from Abq but are better areas than Big Block and are probably worth the drive just for the scenery.
