A friend and I are planning a trip to the Sedona area in a couple of weeks (weekend of January 26-27) in the hopes of climbing The Mace on Saturday and Dr. Rubo's on Sunday. Temps look like they're going to be in the 50's during the day. Wondering what your take is on doing these climbs this time of year. Too cold or just fine?

Sounds like perfect climbing weather in sedona. If it isn't windy it should be great on Rubo's (south facing) and possibly chilly on Mace (mostly east facing). Still, it will be fine if it isn't overcast.

I'm also heading to Sedona this weekend, and was hoping for some awesome weather for climbing. I don't think the Wx is going to cooperate with my hopes! If you are still heading out, maybe we'll see you there--we'll be the three ladies with a red VW Eurovan and two shaggy mutts. If the weather seems iffy, we may head to the Church Wall for some clip ups instead...Cheers!
