i'm planning on hanging out in sedona for a few days later this spring. was wondering what people think are the few absolute must do cant miss routes? i know i've got to climb the mace, and i've heard that the sedona scenic cruise is really classic...anything else?

i'm looking for anything up to around 5.11, moderate aid up to c3 would be fine too

thanks

the end is in sight, just a few more miles of copperheads to go!

Earth Angel (5.10) in Mormon Canyon is one of my all-time favorite climbs.

Oak Creek Spire is pretty cool too. (5.8)

I loved the Needles of the <br />Southern Sierra. The route is Don Juan Wall 11b, this shot was taken by a hard woman just before my manly fall.

Lotta great climbs out here, Coyote Tower is great. I can send you more info via email if you like.

Oak Creek Spire 5.8 ????? WTF?? That's a bit of a sandbag, ain't it?

I just checked Bloom's book and you're right, he calls it a 5.9. I think that's a pretty accurate rating. It's definitely not an easy route. It wasn't an intentional sandbag, I really thought it was rated 5.8. My bad.

Racking up at the bottom of the Summit Block, Sedona, AZ.. 80's climbing pants for style

Schwortz, if you're heading to Sedona check out Dr. Rubos Wild Ride on the summit block.. another 5.9+ route you could knock off the same day as the mace if you start early.

Enjoy,
-Eric
