hi all, i'm looking to find some information about the trails on mount lemmon--maps for example, length, quality, elevation gain, etc.--and i was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a good source. this could be a place to find paper maps, a published guide, the interwebs--anything really. thanks! one love and stuff.

So now you want some FAs, too, Jon? If you need a belay bi@tch, you know where to find one who can only climb nights! The Hut has lots of topos, as do the rangers on the mountain. I'd be happy to look through them with you before our next "Lemmon by Headlamp" adventures. Hope you're well, Jon. Too bad your bridge club and sewing circle meant you had to miss BeanFest!

Yeah we climbed... sorta. We bailed off the second pitch of the route because I sucked all my water down in the heat and three days of slab in my new shoes was really starting to rub the skin away from my achilles tendon. F***ing hurt!

Go to the Summit Hut and ask for the topo map for Mt Lemmon,(more precisely, "Santa Catalina Mountains, a trail and recreation Map"), it's like $5. It's based on the USGS map and the thing is invaluable for orienting yourself on the mountain, has mile markers for all the major trails, altitudes for major peaks and reference points, etc..

Silly, Dan, you already know its real hidden secret: use a decoder ring to unlock topos and beta on all Scott Ayers' unpublished Cochise routes!
