| Hey Marty,
How's the leg? Hope its starting to feel better. With all that sitting around you must be going crazy. How many pull ups is it now - 100, 200 or more? I'm sure that you'll be running around the gym in no time.
I'm looking forward to the changes with AZCLIFFHANGER. It will be good to see new, fresh product up there in the next few months. Let me know if you need any help ordering stuff or harassing Jeremy - I'm pretty good at that.
To all others reading this. Please try your best to make it to any and all of the fundraisers being held for Marty. This guy has put more than 20 years into the climbing community, and we need to help him out. Whether you agree with the insurance crap or not, the dude's not working because he's hurt...lets help him out. Anyone who knows Marty shouldn't have any doubt that he would help out if you were injured.
Peace MK, heal fast.

| Marty!!! Wow...the title of Erik's email really scared me but it did say "Help Marty" so I knew the worst had not happened.
Get better soon!
I have used tons of your guidebooks and climbed many of your routes (both in the gym and on the rock). Just want to say thanks for all the years of hard work and service you have given to the rock climbing community.
Rest...speedy recovery...donation on the way.
Oh, and you could climb in a zebra thong for all I care. You still are one bad-ass climbing dude.

Hey there Marty! Just bought some shoes from ya and I'll donate too. Even with the donation, it won't make up for all the good deals you've given me at your shop! Not to mention the frequent fun talks at the PRG.
Take care and look forward to seeing you at the gym or outdoors again,

| Marty, Captain Kryptonite here! I just heard from the So Ill Family that they are behind you 110%!
Does anyone else remember the route 5.9+ Big Trouble in Funland??? It may be one of the best routes ever put in plastic! The course setters had time trials on it, and no one ever beat Marty's 11 second time. For those of you who don't remember, it was an overhanging route! I think I got it down to 14 seconds. -Also keep in mind that the fastest time on the rope climb at the Thrash and Dangle fest was 8.1 seconds. That's Fast!
Oh yeah for everyone else: I went to visit Marty, and he is getting out of bed on his own, and recovering very quickly. The flying Zebra is grounded, but never out.

| Marty,
I was really shocked when I heard about your accident; even more shocked when I read your story. I can't understand why this stuff happens to the most undeserving people. Every time we've talked you've been more than nice and have gone out of your way to help. I wish nothing but a speedy recovery to the man, the legend, the King of AZ climbing.

| Thanks for posting up the step-by-step Marc. I was hoping someone would do that.
Now we just need someone to do the same for a regular (non WF person) style donation.

| Donations from non WF customers:
WF customer service informed me that a non WF person would have to wire the money from their bank to WF.
There was a lot of fine print involved in setting up this service through my bank (Chase). Since I'm local, I'll make my donation directly at the fundraising events.
Marty - hope you're feeling better with each day! How 'bout some updated scar photos during the healing process??? | FLAG |

| I'm headed to Marty's to take his parents back to the airport. He can't grocery shop or anything near that...so give him a call when you're in his area to pick up whatever he needs.
Also, as to contributing...if you are local, I believe you can also drop off a check to the Phoenix Rock Gym and Michelle will be sure it gets in the account.
We'll post more pics soon. The huge bruising has mostly gone...that's really nice. | FLAG |

| Last night's fundraiser was very cool. Thanks Marty & Jim Waugh for putting it on. The event raised $1300 for Marty! Those photos of white painter's pants, rugby shirts, racks of hexes and stoppers only and EB shoes had me back in memory lane! Cool that Jim is now living in Thailand. Some cool photos from there, too.
Marty, you certainly have a great attitude and smile going in the face of some difficult financial issues you have right now. I really admire your outlook. I'm sending you positive karma. Glad you are following the doctor's advice. Hang in there.
It was nice to see you as its been a long time. | FLAG |

| Hey guys the energy was awesome last night at Climbmax gym. The thanks should go hugely to Climbmax Gym for doing all of the work on the silent auction and getting Jim Waugh in town to do a great slideshow. I found the Waugh show very inspiring and the music he chose was wonderful. My mom and dad also commented on his music choices. Maybe I was totally thrilled about the show since I have climbed 90% of the climbs he showed, met almost everybody shown in the slides, and have most of their climbing gear in my museum. It was really fun to be out of the house and seeing so many familiar smiling faces. I really miss being at the gym and climbing with you guys and I am totally psyched to get back to work. Thanks Klime Clothing for making the awesome "Marty K is Broke-n" Tshirts. What a surprise!!! Nick you have a huge heart. I give a really big big big thanks to the whole climbing community for believing in me. Does this mean I have to disclose those secret crags I have been bolting over this summer? Hmmmm....not a chance!...........Just know that there is some new fantastic climbs that I have created ranging up to 140'. Many are 5 stars and a few are the best routes I have ever found!!! Thanks again Climbmax Gym for all of your sweat and energy, you totally rock!
As far as videos go, I have 50+ climbing videos to watch, but I started with Blazing Saddles, and Nacho Libre.
