I wonder if they ran off with my climbing shoes? Mexico perhaps?

I'll keep my eyes open for them.

David are you saying you were climbing and somebody stole your gear? Sorry brother that's just totally wrong and not the type of thing you'd expect a climber to do.

If in fact you left it there maybe give some details as to why and offer somebody something for rescuing it for you ;)

Maybe you're saying that you forgot it there, I'm not sure and while I guess it doesn't really matter I figure more details would help the guy that has it feel better about giving it back.

lizard.

Wynona had a big brown beaver and she stroked him all the time,
One day you know that beaver tried to leave 'er so she caged him up with cyclone wire,
Well along came Lou with the ol' baboon said "recognize that smell?",
Smells like sever layers, that beaver eats taco bell!

Actually we finished up in the dark and I had tossed the gear into some bushes while cleaning the route and we forgot the gear. This is Tucson and most of us know each other, so, if you hear about someone scoring some gear at the base of the wall you know who it belonged to. Do you really want to keep it? It's a circle man. Speaking of rewards Adam, how's that chalk bag workin' out?

Not really sure why you guys have chosen to slight David on this thread. David's a hell of a good guy, a fantastic climber, and one of the funniest people I know.

Like Eric said, the gear was left mistakenly. David's just asking anyone who has it to return it. Try to be a little helpful.

David- hope your gear turns up. Climb hard man!

I wasn't slighting him in the least, was just trying to get some more details. I saw a biner on Alcatraz Wall today, I just didn't have the energy to go after it as I was working on armed robbery and it was a couple routes over. If I had gotten it I would have called it all mine however and that would have been the end of it. If somebody posted they got freaked, bailed and wanted it back I would have told them it was bail tax and I've paid plenty myself. On the other hand, if somebody posted saying they broke an ankle and had to bail, it was a lucky biner or whatever else I would have paid the shipping to get it back to them.

Point is, it's all in the details, I was just trying to get them as "I left a green alien and a couple nuts" didn't really tell me much. I was being obnoxious though all in good fun and I meant it playful, no disrespect. My sense of humor has been in need of a little work as long as I've had it.

PS There's a nice wire gate biner hanging on the third bolt up on Solitary Refinement or Safecracker (didn't pay it that much attention) if anybody wants to go get it I will split it with you.

Excellent sir, thank you very much and I owe you one so call it in any time! I do see what you mean about the weight, it now weighs more than my harness (seriously) but I combat this by filling that inner-tube with helium.

David,

My shoes found their way back to me, so I'm hoping the same will happen with your gear.

Oh, and remember to ignore the static. :)

If you have Dave's gear and you return it to him in good shape I will buy you a 6 pack of your choice from Trader Joe's!
