| Made it up there yesterday with George Perkins, et al, and yes, I know he was the OP, but I figured others may benefit from knowing. La Luz was clear for all but the north-facing portions of the trail. Goings were slippery in the morning but had thawed to a comfortable slush by the late afternoon. Climbed The Cave Route on The Pulpit; the route itself, with the exception of the base of the climb, was clear and dry (nice time of year to climb, actually). The descent off the backside was another story: slippery and cold with about 5 feet of snow in the gully. It caused delays because of the extra precautions that were necessary to keep from slipping down. Other than that, it was fine. | |
