Description
Orange Out is one of those Overlook grad climb type deals at the 5.9 grade. From the base, climb up jugs to gain a nice corner with moderate moves, always headed toward the big overhang above. At the top of the moderate corner, a burly overhanging jamcrack (crux) puts you in a cool (and unbelievably moderate as it turns out) overhanging chimney that takes you to the top. Classic!
Note: A 5.8 variation to this route can be done, by exiting out to the right before you get up into the overhang. A crack leads out right onto a pedestal and up from there. This option may be dirty as it gets little traffic.
Location
Center of the wall, about 25 feet to the right of the Morning's Mourning corner.
Protection
Nuts and cams from small up to about #2 Camalot size. Maybe take one #3 Camalot size.
