To answer your question - no - this rescue occurred on March 1st, 2008. A 16 year old female hiker was scrambling on the hoodoos at Fremont Saddle when she lost her balance and fell ~40'. My group was at the saddle and witnessed the fall. We called for rescue (she was in pretty bad shape) as an off duty EMT tended to her. I saw nothing in the news about this particular rescue. Hope the girl has a complete and speedy recovery.
