This route is actually known as The Watchtower. The first free ascent party chose to stick with the original name given by the first ascensionists. FFA by John Mattson and John Burcham circa 1998

Actually, the FA was called The Last Temptation and the formation was called the Watchtower. I named it when I did the FA with Jim Erdman in 1992? I have no idea what the FFA guys wanted to call the route but the tower should still be called The Watchtower.

A year or two later I attempted an all free version avoiding the sugary 2nd. pitch by traversing the limestone band to the left (at the top of pitch 1) to access a crack system on the S. side. The traverse was no problem but the rock on the following pitch was still pretty sugary. Brian Smith was leading that pitch when we bailed due to darkness (lazy late start). Never went back to finish it. Go for it gnarly sand pumpers.
