Description

When located at the parking lot near the Chapel of the Holy Cross, if you look to the east and a bit south, you will see a ridgeline with several prominent spires. Streaker is the outside or southernmost spire in this line of formations.

Getting There

The approach is pretty mellow for the most part, just cross-country - via the Chapel Trail - from the church parking lot (might be tough to get a spot these days) to gain a gully leading up to the ridgeline just down and north (left) of Streaker. Some sandstone slab paddling is required to get up there. Watch out for the occasional mountain biker on this trail, but odds are they'll be out somewhere riding the other, much-better, Sedona bike trails rather than this rocky nasty one.

Go with tradition and leave your clothes behind for this ascent, it's always fun to whoop up the entertainment factor for the Pink Jeep tours and Chapel visitors!
