The Tropics

Description 

The Tropics are a nice winter cragging area. Think of it as a scary version of Indian Creek. All of the routes are hard, and some are quite loose.

Please do not climb the routes to the right of the fence at the Percolator Wall. There is a sign that sais something to the effect that you have to go thru the main entrance to the indian site, which requires money and a reservation or something like that.

Getting There 

This area is located west of the Dry Creek Area. From 89a take a right on Dry Creek Road, and follow the paved road all the way to the end. Take a left at the T tward Boynton Canyon. Where the paved road goes right to the Enchantment and Boynton Canyon, go left on a dirt road (152C). Take this dirt road to a T. Take a right on 525 tward Loy Butte, and look for the wall you want.
