John on Raindance

Description

Raindance Buttress is a section of broken wall located to the left of the Davidson Wall, sort of in a kink in the canyon wall. The rock might look a bit shattered, but an ascent of Raindance via lead or TR is WELL worth your time.

Getting There

After hiking down from the parking lot, head around to the far (east) side of the canyon and then rap in from the rim north of the Davidson Wall.

Climb up an obvious feature through the trees and over a roof, then continue up really good rock via discontinuous cracks. A great climb....[more]   Browse More Classics in AZ
