Do any of youz out there know the deal with this dangling gear at Rivendale? It has been there... well, at least since before my first time at the wall. That was about three years ago. Anyway, just curious. I don't really want to go up there and get it down. It's too hot today.

Left by the guy that bolted Rivendale. He was hoping to free climb the roof crack.

Yeah, me too. Who was that?

Thanks Eric!

I aid-soloed this thing a while back. It would probably go free at 5.11+ or something would be my guess. The rock is crap, and not at all worth the effort of getting back there.

yep, they've been there for maybe thirteen years. The route was never really cleaned after the aid first ascent. As Eric indicated the goal was a free ascent. Real life kicked in and I have not been strong enough since to get back on it. The overall rock is solid, it is that lower section above the last bolt that needed cleaning and never got to it.
