I don't see a problem? The device can be used either way depending on the desired level of friction and her right hand looks fine to me. The left is a spare.

You turn everything the other side up and she is going to have to hold her hand up in the air to brake. She has it right. When she pulls down with her right hand the friction will be applied.

I'm also saying she's cool, even though her brake hand is not entirely visible, I don't see a problem with the hand positions nor rigging.

She's also looking down & has good body balance to start the vertical section, not too shabby for a first rap.

I'm sure she was properly coached before stepping off! First time raps can be an "eye opener." Cool photo with the sun don't you think..

Her right hand is facing down for braking, it's just hard to tell in the pic. She would pull down to brake. The left hand is just to help guide the rope.
