These photos were posted up on SuperTopo.com and claims are coming in from everywhere about who and where (Wyoming, California etc) they were taken. Are these your own original photos?
It's that time of the year. A great reminder of being aware of your surroundings when out in the Arizona desert!
Got these pictures from a friend of a friend who lives near Tucson. They were out hiking around on Mothers Day and Came across this nice party! You can see the mouth of the den in the 2nd one. My question is, why would you stick around for pictures?????"
Tortolitas were the final location ID, NNW of Catalina state park in a close by range.
not my originals. tried to find photog for credit, but all I got is many friends removed and location near golder ranch rd (catalina state park area). doubt it's wyoming, but certainly could be somewhere else. regardless, a spectacular labyrinth of vipers!
and yes mark, 'body-slam it!' was the first thing that came to mind.
Herp geek addition: these appear to be Crotalus viridis viridis (common prairie rattlesnake). I suspect these were photographed either in colorado or southern wyomoing. what does this have to do with climbing? oh yeah, watch that next hand hold!!!!
