I actually saw several images of this den.

the quote was:

"Ahhh, Spring . . . .

It's that time of the year. A great reminder of being aware of
your surroundings when out in the Arizona desert!

Got these pictures from a friend of a friend who lives near
Tucson.
They were out hiking around on Mothers Day and
Came across this nice party!
You can see the mouth of the den in the 2nd one.
My question is, why would you stick around for pictures?????"

Tortolitas were the final location ID, NNW of Catalina state park in a close by range.

You just look at it and say:

If I were a Hulkamaniac, I'd body-slam it!

not my originals. tried to find photog for credit, but all I got is many friends removed and location near golder ranch rd (catalina state park area). doubt it's wyoming, but certainly could be somewhere else. regardless, a spectacular labyrinth of vipers!

and yes mark, 'body-slam it!' was the first thing that came to mind.

Herp geek addition:
these appear to be Crotalus viridis viridis (common prairie rattlesnake). I suspect these were photographed either in colorado or southern wyomoing.
what does this have to do with climbing?
oh yeah, watch that next hand hold!!!!

Tea,

Which part the whole "natural eco system" don't you understand.

If I ever run into you on a trail suffering from a snake bite, I hope you don't mind if I walk on by.

Stay in the concrete jungle were you belong.
