Description
Smooth holds through a white-ish rock face lead to big stair-like climbing up to a nice ledge to clip the anchors. This is another nice first lead route at Jacks.
Location
This route is immediately left of the popular 5.6 route "Progressive Slots." It starts in an obvious white streak of rock to a good ledge and on to many more good ledges.
This route was new back in 2001 I believe and we immediately began referring to it as "Fred Astaire" because of the Vegas-theme and stair-like climbing of the route.
There is yet another new route bolted just to the left of this route between Gumby and Fist Full O Dollars that is quite fun and goes at about 5.9. Don't get these two new routes confused! :-)
