The first pitch slab.


Description 

Start: Scramble up onto a nice ledge at the base of a right facing slab.

Pitch 1: Climb the slab past 3 bolts (5.10-R).

Pitch 2: Climb the short right facing corner (5.10-) up to a face. Climb left and up onto an easy slab (5.10- PG 13).

Pitch 3: Finish on Guiocco Piano (5.11D), Guillotine Flake (5.7), or an Unnamed right leaning crack right of Guillotine (~5.10)


Location 

This route is at the far right side of Granite Mountain. It lies 3 routes from the right side walk up.


Protection 

Small to medium cams and stoppers. Draws.

Fun slab to start the route that could be a little spicy getting to the first bolt. The second and third bolts are old buttonheads that need replaced. The GM guide gives the face portion of the second pitch 5.9s but I think the 10- PG13 rating given here is on par. Great exposure on the second pitch!
