Heart Cave

Description

A super-classic highball on a wonderfully unique boulder. Climb up and left from a jug to a big flake, horn and shelf, then continue moving up and left through very committing moves to a relatively simple, but frightening rockover. The original problem went to the horn and dropped off; it's about V4 and a worthy problem in its own right if you're not up to the scary, cruxy exit. One of Flagstaff's best problems, with incredible moves up a gorgeous and aesthetic line.

Location

Climbs out the right side of the huge alien-head/mushroom boulder in the center of the Heart Cave. Follow the chalk.

Protection

Multiple pads and an attentive spotter.
