Description

Hump almost to the North end of Ridge 2, and you will find a sweet, little arete. I can't believe that it took three years to check this out after listening to Dave rave about this line.

The climbing begins directly below the arete in a small roof/corner. Surmount this cruxy problem to gain a stance on the arete. Work the arete on nice, clean edges and a series of sweet moves that are probably never harder than 5.9.

Too bad this line is sooo short!! Arete Funicello kicks up good stone, fun climbing, and a gorgeous arete.

Protection

Half a dozen draws and a rope. Walk off left, but belay the second on the right over the top.

If necessary, you can carefully throw your rope around the top of this climb and rappel off.
