Unidentified Durango rope-soloist gets his Ape on. Follow the "Simians" crack about 20 feet, cut left to a ledge over some easy runout face climbing, begin "Apes" here (bolt line immediately left of the Watch Crystal Crack).

Seth, it is 6 bolts, I believe, from the anchors atop the first pitch of Durangatan to the 2 bolt anchor on Apes of Wrath. No need for any other gear.

Thanks. I hit up this route last weekend, and well.... Stellar! And yes, it's 6 bolts plus the two bolt anchor.

I love this route. Good holds, moderately sustained with a well defined crux.

Thanks to the individual that replaced the second bolt. It had been spinning for some time.
