For absolutely no good reason, what is your:

Height?
Armspan?
Age?
How many years have you been climbing?

A PM is fine if you'd rather not divulge this info publicly. If there are enough responses, I'll crunch the numbers.

Check out how almost everyone has a positive ape index. As for me, 72" tall w/ a 71" wingspan. Sux. Plus, I log in at 210 lbs. with about 85% of that being above my hips (I look like a boxer who had a leg transplant from a Bangladeshi, the wife howls if I go out in public with shorts). My big fat 'ol mitts do not fit at all in Incredible Hand Crack, to me its off-fingers. Probably best built for offwidths, but yeeeeesh. What the hell am I doing this for?

Ape index, huh? My spine is all messed up and crooked, which is what artifically decreases my height and thus pumps up the index.

Interesting- a few weeks ago I spanned out with "Too Tall Tim" (Davis) who is 6'6" or so and discovered he has only a couple inches of armspan on me. I do see that there is a guy on the list above who has me beat. (Travis) I wonder how he got so positive?

I read something more than a decade ago in a mag that suggested the human average is 0, but of course depends on race and gender... Males are generally +2 and females generally -2. Females have a higher torso to apendage ratio. I imagine it has something to do with Estrogen, as in both males and females, that is the hormone that stops the growth of the long bones, such as femur and humerus.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
