Where did you go and what did you think of it?

Modica-Noury SuperGoullotte. Mont Blanc De Tacul, Chamonix. TD+

I spent 2 weeks at Arapiles this January. It's really weather dependent. The first four days were gorgeous - sunny and it didnt really break 85 so we climbed all day. The next 4 days after that were hellacious - over 100 every day. The next 4 after that were in the upper 90s. You will expect to find similar weather in the Blue Mountains as well.

For most of the trip, we only climbed from 7am-10:30am and again from 4pm until dark.

Both Araps and the Bluies are absolute world class destinations - but January is really not the time to go if you can help it. Odds are you will be roasted alive.

In the middle of a move.

Hey mate, I'm from the land down under. Pretty much arapiles is the mecca for us Aussies. The blueys are probly number 2. But if you can't get outa Sydney, you can get an app for your phone which has a tonne of crags around the city (Sydney rock climbing guide).

The best thing about the blue mountains is that crags face every bloody direction so you can take your pick. Get the 2010 guide and go to town.

This websites got a bunch of info on it:

And it looks like we are heading into an el niņo weather pattern so it's probably gunna be dry and hot.

Plan on it being VERY hot and if you get some cool days call it a bonus.
Went to a granite area called Mount Buffalo that month and had a good time, was cooler than Arapiles and the Blue's.

Also went to this limestone area which was superb where you can climb sun or shade.
