This obscure Flatiron is located about 200 yards south of the Royal Arch. This Flatiron is a satellite to the Amoeboid Flatiron. The east face is 200 feet long and provides an easy scramble if you are in the area. The face does have some moss and lichen, but the majority of it can be avoided. The summit is in hiking territory and abuts to the north side of the Amoeboid.

Getting There

Pass the Royal Arch on the west side and follow a faint trail due south. You will run into the Anomaly. A short scramble down a gully will put you at the base.

The lichen and moss on this route can be avoided, and the rock is generally sound in nature. This rock makes a good scrambling finish to the Royal Arch trail. Descent: Walk off to the south....[more]   Browse More Classics in CO
