BETA PHOTO: Aggro Crag Boulder (South Face)

Description

A beautiful quartzite boulder located on the left (north) side of Highway 18 when headed down the "back way" from Big Bear Lake. The boulder sports problems on all four sides ranging from V0-V5. The highly-polished, dense rock is of excellent quality, but is also very sharp. Definitely worth a visit during a trip out to the Holcomb Valley Pinnacles.

Note: "Aggro Crag" is referred to as "Roadside Boulder" in Brad Singers' "Hidden Treasures East" guidebook.

Getting There

If headed east on Highway 18 look for a small, out of place boulder on the right side (south) in a dry lake bed. [THIS IS NOT AGGRO CRAG!] Take the turnout on the right about 150 yards prior to driving by this rock. Once in the turnout, Aggro Crag is the prominent boulder on the left (north) side of the road. Follow the faint climbers' trail uphill to the dense, quality boulder.
