I lead the 2nd ascent of Acid A3 in 1986. Everyone thought it was a big deal even though compared to the aid in the Black Canyon it was a fairly trivial lead.
We brought up a group of 12 or 15 others and a boom box for a summit party.
We played Laurie Anderson's "Let X = X" at full volume to cover the sound of bolting Space Lichens which was very illegal at that time. It was a hootenanny up there til Warren Watson the Superintendent came to the base to tell us the regular campers were complaining about the noise. Hearing several recognizable voices and laughs coming from on high Warren called out "Hank is that you", Where are you?".

Caylor's infamous reply, said loud enough for all of ERock to hear was. "Warren we're on ACID!"
