Accident in Eldo today 4/3

Anyone know what happened today? Ambulance and a couple rescue vehicles near the West Ridge.

Looks like they had a tyrol up across the river. Thoughts are with whoever was hurt.

Not sure about the accident, I was curious about it myself and headed up the road to have a look at the West Ridge when a big boulder destroyed a tree and then landed in the road right in front of us. I'm guessing it was 5 tons? As big as a geo metro and king of shaped like that too. I was spooked about the stability of the hillside and we backed down to the Bastille right quick and notified the rescue crew. I imagine anyone up canyon was trapped up there for at least a couple hours. I'm glad we weren't 3 seconds faster heading up canyon because it would've steamrolled us and pushed the car over the bank and into the river. Yikes

Rescuers said it was an ankle injury.

Spoke with a park employee (Dan) that day. Said a big fall was had on Sooberb. Said was just a broken ankle(s?). nothing fatal.
