MP was just down for around five hours. It was miserable. Please don't happen again.

climbing trip to Railay Beach, Thailand

Yeah, but I got us on a much upgraded, speedier server!

Seriously, sorry, if I had known it would take so long, I would have put a message.

91 GB of photos took a long time to copy, not to mention all the "phone number for rock and resole" posts...

So, the 41st page of the rock and resole phone number thread still won't load. Is there like a bug list I can post to somewhere?

PS, thanks for the upgrade.

In a zoo in California, a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth.

The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.

After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only "orphans" that could be found quickly, were a litter of weaner pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger.
Elanor finally had some time to take a pee break and a prozak

Just think how much easier your job would be with the addition of functionality to vote up/down content on MP. If any of the posts, comments, photos, etc received X number of thumbs down; you could exclude that data when migrating to new servers.

Sophie, 3 legged dog, makes her 3rd winter ascent of Mt. San Antonio, this month. A year later, she bagged two ascents in a day, once from Mt. Baldy Village, then from Manker Flats (20 miles & 8k vertical).

Thanks, Nick! Love your website, but feel sorry for the addicts. They should take a break, get some exercise, and/or watch the Olympics.

I can't believe how much hype the olympics get. I missed seeing/giving a crap about the last one, so pardon my shell shock. I recommend taking a dump to the pomp and circumstance of the olympic theme in order to truly fathom the hyperbole.

And just as they zoom in on Phelps' face and marvel at his achievement you think how fast he'd wig out and drop to his death if he were suddenly placed in the middle of an A. Honnold solo.

Lest I be labelled the curmudgeon though, I actually have been watching and enjoying the trials.

Dude this is my break, if I was not on here giving out unsolicited advise and being a all around annoyance my coworkers would hate me. They think of me as that quiet busy guy, always typing up something...

Very good! Like I said it's the trials. That's where they decide who goes but still play the music and sell Coke and everything.

Tour de France is going on right now. As well as the All-Star game. Who cares about Olympics?

Imagine how well we could climb if we put a quarter of the energy into our training as Olympic athletes put into theirs.
